Opening of the exhibition *État Plasma* by artists Gabriel Fortin and Mariane Tremblay
We cordially invite you to attend the exhibition opening, which will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
“État Plasma” refers to a mysterious and ubiquitous state of matter in the universe—plasma—which affects the propagation of radio waves in Earth’s ionosphere. The exhibition draws inspiration from the mysteries surrounding a secret U.S. mission in the 1980s in Sainte-Hedwidge-de-Roberval, which allegedly created a gaping hole in the ionosphere, sowing doubt and fear.
The artists, who investigated the electromagnetic spectrum of the small municipality in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, present an installation with retrofuturistic overtones, combining visual, sculptural, and sound elements that are at once familiar, enigmatic, and retrofuturistic. Their project poetically blends scientific imagination with an artistic exploration of the invisible.
The exhibition will run from June 3 to August 16, 2026.
