État Plasma, an exhibition by artists Gabriel Fortin and Mariane Tremblay

The exhibition will run from June 3 to August 16, 2026.

État Plasma refers to a mysterious and omnipresent state of matter in the universe, plasma, which affects the propagation of radio waves in the Earth's ionosphere. The exhibition is inspired by the mysteries of a secret American mission in the 1980s in Sainte-Hedwidge-de-Roberval, which allegedly pierced a gaping hole in the ionosphere, sowing doubt and fear.

The artists, who investigated the electromagnetic spectrum of the small municipality of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, have created a retro-futuristic installation combining visual, sculptural, and sound elements that are at once familiar, enigmatic, and retro-futuristic. Their project poetically combines scientific imagination with an artistic experiment in manipulating the invisible.
