Terre d'accueil, an exhibition by artist Komi Seshie
The exhibition Terre d'accueil (Land of Welcome) will be on display from June 18 to August 22, 2026.
Komi Seshie invites us to commemorate involuntary population displacement by presenting works created from recycled materials: wood, which evokes damaged nature; plastic and metal, symbols of rampant industrialization; and textiles, receptacles of human suffering. These discarded materials, which carry within them memories of exhaustion and transformation, find a new home in the works.
More than an exploration of the socio-economic, geopolitical, and environmental issues related to forced migration, Terre d'accueil is an artistic cry against the forgetting of the suffering experienced and the courage shown by those who, one day, had to leave their homeland for a new home.
We invite you to attend the exhibition opening on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
