Programme: First screening of the 40-minute medium-length film, followed by a 20-minute intermission and then Cayenne's 80-minute show.

Cayenne is delighted to invite you to the North Shore for this two-part event combining film and music! Get your first glimpse of Au nord du nord et un peu vers l'est before it's released, a film by an uninhibited author with a strong whiff of pilgrimage produced by the artist... and end the evening with a torrent of festive folk-rock!

Cayenne performs stories that are both left-field and energetic, and introspective and sensitive. On the menu: feminism, millennial concerns, the search for identity through love of the land, all topped with influences that waltz with musical polyamory. It's a chance to meet a friendly bimbo with a heart as big as the vast Côte-Nord. She's here to present her debut album Snowflake.

About the medium-length film: Over the course of a series of shows as part of the summer ROSEQ, Cayenne reclaims her native region. In the company of her musicians and dearest friends, she travels along Route 138 to the beat of her nostalgia. Between fjords and songs, between river and sound tests, between beaches and touring life, it is the universal need to reconnect with the places that saw us grow up and the need to return to our roots that motivates this sharing of larger-than-life images. Au nord du nord et un peu vers l'est, it's an inexorable duel between the intimacy of small venues and the vastness of the territory.

The show is made possible by the Quebec government's Plan de relance économique du milieu culturel.
