Theatre of images, a show without words.
In this beehive, there's a world that's both very big and very small. The beekeeper uses her delicate hands to reveal the poetic and sonorous layers, one by one. But will this strange architecture protect the bees from the many adversities? They will cultivate the most precious material of all: joy. Beehive. The beekeeper carries it around on her back, gradually revealing its layers. In this little bag is hidden a universe that holds a fragile balance: a city, birds, winter, spring. A few bees finally come to live in it, to the tune of Pauline Julien, when the trials of life have finished beating down on them.
This show was created around the theme of the book-object for very young children. The performer, who also created the show, shaped its architecture by reflecting on the themes of adversity and fragility, using the bee as an example. As the pieces are wordless, these themes can easily go unnoticed. Babies interpret the works in their own way, and this freedom is held in high esteem at Cabane Théâtre.
The performance setting remains relaxed and sensitive, and the show is designed to adapt to the environment of toddlers. Produced by Cabane Théâtre
Show without words.
The performance is made possible by the Quebec government's Plan de relance économique du milieu culturel.
