Pottery Introductory Workshops

The activity takes place during two Sunday mornings, from 9:30am-12. For beginners, with no experience with pottery. All classes are bilingual.


The participants come the first Sunday to make the pieces (on the pottery wheel and with hanbuilding techniques). They come back two or three weeks later to glaze them (color). 


Ten groups are available:

Group 1 - January 14 & 28, 2024, from 9:30-12.

Group 2 - January 21st & February 4, 2024, from 9:30-12.

Group 3 - February 11 & 25, 2024, from 9:30-12.

Group 4 - February 18 & March 3rd, 2024, from 9:30-12.

Group 5 - March 17 & April 7, 2024 from 9:30-12.

Group 6 - March 24 & April 14, 2024 from 9:30-12.

Group 7 - April 21st & May 5, 2024 from 9:30-12.

Group 8 - April 28 & May 12, 2024 from 9:30-12.

Group 9 - May 19 & June 2d, 2024 from 9:30-12.

Group 10 - May 26 & June 9, 2024 from 9:30-12.


Maximum of 8 students per group. There are 4 pottery wheels, so the time will be shared between throwing and handbuilding techniques. Each participants will bring 4 finished pieces back home. All materials and firings are included. Participants must come back a few weeks after the second session to get their fired pieces. 


Classes are given on chemin de la Montagne, Wakefield, Québec. Exact address and other details will be sent by email one week before the activity.


Cancellation policy:

  • You may cancel 2 weeks in advance of the class and receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
  • If you have to miss one class, no refund will be given. The missed class can't be transferred to another group.
  • In case of bad weather, one class might be postponed on a subsequent Sunday.
