Fort-Coulonge, Quebec – The 2026 edition of the Pontiac International Women’s Film Festival (FICFP) will take place from August 7 to 9, 2026, at the Cinéma Lyn in Fort-Coulonge and at Pont Blanc Beach.

The 2026 program will feature a selection of 12 feature-length and short films by female directors from Quebec and beyond.

With Mélanie Charbonneau—director of the films *Les Furies*, *Out Standing*, and *Fabuleuses*—serving as honorary chair, the FICFP will celebrate works by female filmmakers from Quebec and beyond. Screened and honored at numerous festivals in Canada, Europe, and Asia, Mélanie Charbonneau’s films stand out for their ability to combine popular appeal, humor, and social commentary.

The FICFP is the only regional film festival in Quebec entirely dedicated to women filmmakers. This marks the third edition of the festival, which was created in 2018 to invigorate the Pontiac’s cultural scene.

The festival will conclude on August 9 with an awards ceremony honoring the best short and feature-length films, with prizes bearing the evocative, Pontiac-inspired name “Cocottes d’Or.”
