Opening of the exhibition *Rien n'est figé*, by the Gatineau Visual Arts Collective

We cordially invite you to attend the opening of the exhibition, which will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Nothing escapes the passage of time. Stone slowly wears smooth, water slips through our fingers, seasons change the landscape, beings transform, and even buildings—which we believe to be solid and unchanging—eventually crumble and reinvent themselves.
Capturing movement: this is the paradox that art makes possible. Through their works, the artists of the Gatineau Visual Arts group explore the impermanence and metamorphosis of beings, nature, and our human constructions. Each piece reminds us that nothing is fixed, except the image we retain of it—an invitation to contemplate the ephemeral and celebrate the beauty of transformation.
The exhibition will run from August 26 to October 11, 2026.

About the location
Espace Pierre-Debain
Situé au rez-de-chaussée du Centre culturel du Vieux-Aylmer, en plein coeur du quartier patrimonial du secteur d'Aylmer de la ville de Gatineau, l'Espace Pierre-Debain a ouvert ses portes en 2002. Ce lieu intime offre une fenêtre de choix aux créateurs professionnels en métiers d'art de provenance régionale, nationale ou internationale. Cinq expositions temporaires y sont présentées annuellement. Elles visent à favoriser la diffusion d'oeuvres des artisans créateurs et à développer la curiosité du public pour toute forme d'expression créatrice liée au domaine des métiers d'art.
