With a history rooted in resilience and a sound that bridges past and future, the Blackburn Brothers continue to redefine Canadian blues and honor their heritage. As they continue their journey, they remain determined to celebrate history, unite communities and keep the soul of the blues alive for generations to come.
The band was inducted into the Canada South Blues Society Hall of Fame in 2023, in recognition of its contributions to Canadian blues and its role in amplifying the voices of black artists in the music industry. Then, in 2024, the Blackburn Brothers collectively earned a record nine nominations for the Maple Blues Awards - considered the highest honors on the Canadian blues scene - for their most recent album, SoulFunkn'BLUES.
