Some stories can only be told after dark.
And some nights are unlike any other.
On June 27, the MAL invites you to the Old Aylmer Cultural Centre for the Great Night of Enchanting Tales. This journey between wakefulness and sleep will be led by seven storytellers who will take turns from sunset to sunrise. Stories of deep forests, metamorphoses, enchanted creatures, and forgotten paths—the tales you’ll hear have crossed borders and centuries; they know how to find their way through the night and continue to illuminate us even when our eyes close.
Bring whatever you need to get comfortable—a sleeping pad, blankets, a pillow—and simply let yourself be carried away by the storytellers’ voices, stepping into one story and out into another, sleeping a little and waking up somewhere else. The night will do its work.
