La Troupe Désinvolte is thrilled to invite you to participate in its very first improv league! The league will begin with a pilot project, which will take place at the Centre culturel Jacques-Auger (39 Leduc Street, Gatineau) from September 26 to October 29, 2026. The project includes three preparatory workshops and three live improv nights (see schedule below), during which four teams of five to six players will face off in duels based on the National Improvisation League (LNI) format, but with different rules.
Preparatory Workshops*:
Saturday, September 26, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 3, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Live improv nights**:
Friday, October 16, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday, October 23, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday, October 29, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
* Participation in the workshops is a prerequisite for participating in the improv nights.
**Admission is free, and bar service will be available on site.
The workshops are designed to introduce participants to improvisation and prepare them to perform in front of an audience. Richard and Diane Côté, two outstanding improvisers who have been active in Ottawa’s theater scene for several years, will lead the workshops.
