Attendence mode Face-to-face event

We are delighted to partner with Canadian Heritage to once again present Canada Day in Old Hull! The event will take place on July 1, 2026, from noon to 11 p.m. in the pedestrian area of Laval Street. All activities are free!

From noon to 4 p.m., it’s Family Day. Kids will enjoy participating in various giant games thanks to Expério, inflatable structures, face painting, and dancing to the music of our DJ Gloryhull. Additionally, we will welcome Le Loop, an interactive DJ booth that allows the public to explore the art of DJing through hands-on workshops.

Starting at 7 p.m. on the Grange Stage, Haviah Mighty—a rapper, musician, singer-songwriter, and producer from Toronto, Ontario—is recognized as one of Canada’s top young rappers. She is known for the intensity of her performances, politically charged lyrics, and her focus on systemic injustice.

At 8:30 p.m., Qualité Motel will get you dancing! This party machine is operated by the members of Valaire—a musical and recreational vehicle blending DJ sets, remixes, mash-ups of Top 40 hits, and original compositions, all as fiery as a dragon shirt. Live, it dismisses the idea of “guilty pleasures”—because fun is fun, all the time. They will be joined by two very special guests, Franky Fade and Virginie B!

Immediately following the fireworks, none other than Loud will close the celebration! Loud has become a major figure in Canadian Francophone rap. He first gained recognition with the group Loud Lary Ajust before establishing a solo career with Une année record (certified platinum and winner of multiple awards, including a Juno and three Félix awards), propelled by the historic hit Toutes les femmes savent danser.

The event is completely free and open to everyone! A special thanks to Canadian Heritage, the City of Gatineau, Tourisme Outaouais, and Vision Centre-ville for their support. So mark your calendars for a family-friendly, festive celebration on July 1 in Old Hull.
