Coeur sauvage is an invitation to slow down, to contemplate, and to reconnect with the intimate place that exists within each of us: a free, instinctive, and deeply alive space where beauty arises from authenticity rather than perfection.

An inner landscape is not a place you visit. It is a place you feel.

It changes with the rhythm of our seasons, our losses, our joys, and our rebirths. My work is an invitation to pause there for a moment.

Ultimately, the wildest heart is not the one that runs away—it is the one that dares to open itself, again and again.

I do not paint places.

I paint feelings.

About the artist

A native of the Gatineau region, Geneviève Pratte obtained a BFA in Visual Arts from the Université du Québec en Outaouais in 2006, and pursued her Master's degree at the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2010. Her artistic research is rooted in the plant world, landscape and the environment. A professional painter for more than a decade, this young Montreal-based artist is carving out an enviable place for herself on the Quebec contemporary art market.
