Code 18 is a Canadian progressive rock band from the Outaouais region. Formed in 2008 by keyboardist, composer, and producer Johnny Maz, Code 18 has gradually built a reputation for richly textured symphonic progressive rock, rooted in thoughtful composition and dynamic musical interaction.

Johnny Maz, also known for his work in the acclaimed prog band HUIS, is the primary creative force behind Code 18—writing, arranging, and producing the music that defines the project’s unique sonic identity.

Joined by talented collaborators JF Rémillard on guitar and Benoit “Bönz” Plamondon on vocals, Code 18 made its debut with the highly acclaimed concept album *Human Error!* in 2020. This release explored narrative and musical contrasts with spectacular arrangements and vibrant instrumental craftsmanship.

“Two Places” continues this artistic evolution while pushing boundaries, blending complex progressive structures with evocative lyrical themes reflecting dualities—inner and outer worlds, heart and mind, and solitude amidst connection.
