De sel & d'écume, oceanic tales and maritime songs

De sel & d'écume sails from a Russian byline to a Breton legend, from a tale of creation to historical anecdotes, via little gems of oral literature, maritime songs and original music inspired by these mysterious tales.

This show is the result of days and days of research into the history and folklore of sailors. The artists traveled from the Magdalen Islands to Quebec's North Shore, and from Vendée to Brittany in France, interviewing seafarers and going through archives.

With harp, accordion and vocal harmonies, the Celtic sounds smell of salt and sea breeze. De sel & d'écume is the fruit of the passion of two women artists. It's stories to make you dream, music, song, melancholy and shared laughter.

For audiences 12 and up.
