Yves Lambert
CONTEMPORARY URBAN TRADITIONAL MUSIC
Romance Paradis
To celebrate 100 years of local music, Yves Lambert, an icon and proud ambassador of traditional Quebec music, presents a new musical adventure aboard Romance Paradis. In a setting adorned with and inspired by archival photos and videos, the audience will be transported to the world of Quebec’s great songs from the 1920s and 1930s. The repertoire of Albert Marier, Hector Pellerin, and Roméo Beaudry—who, among others, left their mark on this iconic era—will be reorchestrated to create a poignant show, brought to life by the voices of Yves Lambert and singer-actress Catherine-Audrey Lachapelle. The bold staging of this window into French-Canadian musical culture is directed by Isabelle Longnus.
