    VIEILLE CORNEILLE by Martin Villeneuve

    Canada (Quebec). 2026. 50 min. Documentary (G).

Vieille Corneille is a musical docu-fiction—a “docu-sical”—dedicated to Quebec icon Louise Forestier. Through nine chapters inspired by the songs from her latest album, the film accompanies the 83-year-old artist as she reflects on creativity, freedom, old age, death, and our times. Set between Quebec and Tasmania, as the seasons change, a deeply human portrait emerges that goes far beyond the figure of the artist to speak to us all.

« Ce film est le regard d’une femme libre sur notre époque, un regard riche de plusieurs décennies. On en ressort énergisé, porté par une lucidité devenue rare de nos jours. » (Mario Girard, La Presse)
