Arts Education at the Heart of Families and Communities in the Outaouais
Founded in 2018 out of a deep passion for the arts and sharing knowledge, Amuzart initially brought parents and their children together through shared painting workshops. Today, this same vision of living and creating together continues to inspire every program offered at the Hull-area studio in Gatineau.
Amuzart offers a unique arts education program in the Outaouais region, designed entirely around the child’s stage of development, interests, and natural learning pace.
Each session’s class is a structured experience that combines technical exploration, the development of fine motor skills, general cultural knowledge, and personal growth—all within a warm, supportive, and stimulating environment.
At Amuzart, learning happens through doing. With hands in paint, clay between the fingers, and a brush gliding across the canvas—every gesture is a hands-on learning opportunity. Children experiment, observe, adjust, and try again. They develop their concentration, perseverance, and confidence in their own abilities through action and creation. This direct contact with artistic materials and techniques anchors learning in a lasting and meaningful way, far beyond what a theoretical approach could offer.
What sets Amuzart apart is the richness and coherence of its program. Specialized classes in painting, drawing, sculpture, creative crafts, art history, and world cultures cover the entire artistic journey of children ages 5 to 12, with progressive levels tailored to each stage.
A new acrylic painting class, open to preteens, teens, and adults ages 9 and up, enriches this offering by welcoming the whole family into the creative adventure.
Each program is designed by Jacinthe Mainguy, an art teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 30 years of artistic practice. Small groups of 7 to 10 participants, professional supplies fully included, and a team of dedicated instructors ensure personalized attention for every child.
At Amuzart, we believe that art is much more than just an after-school activity. It’s a playground where children explore, create, grow, and learn to see the world differently. Growing up with art is child’s play.
Registration for the fall 2026 session is now open.
The session begins on September 14, and space is limited.
