    Given the success of the “Tango tango” concert during the 2025–2026 season, we are continuing to explore the repertoire of tangos for flute and guitar, performed here on the harpsichord. The tango evokes several connections to the quest for peace: dance and music as metaphors for war, or the use of the tango as a means of alleviating the horror of the Nazi camps—as an expression of survival.


    On the program, you will hear evocative tangos, including “Tango Plegaria” (Supplication), an iconic work linked to the Nazi camps.
