Blurring the lines between video art, documentary, and music video, Martin Bureau’s film explores the excesses of a Western society that is both shaken by late capitalism and unable to break free from it. A visceral audiovisual experience, the work contrasts an aesthetic of excess and domination with the sober, critical voice of philosopher Alain Deneault, who calls for reinventing forms of community and territorial solidarity.
