Latiendo la tierra. A colourful musical universe, imbued with Latin rhythms, organic and textured with the sounds of nature. The themes are ecofeminist and unfold in trilingual (French, Spanish, English) poetry that is committed to promoting solidarity and empowerment. The music is combined with theatre, dance and performance in a fiery, explosive encounter. Accompanied on stage by three musicians (Doriane Fabreg on percussion, Catherine Lemay on keyboards and Juliette Malgrange on cello), Noé brings us an immersive, collaborative show full of love, humour and authenticity. Noé Lira is a singer-songwriter and accordionist who has also trained in theatre and dance. She loves exploring the fusion of forms and cultures. A first-generation Québéco-Mexican, her creations are multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary and rooted in current affairs, tackling issues such as violence against women and the need for social change. A firm believer in the power of rituals to bring about collective transformation, her approach always aspires to encounters and dialogue, seeking from the outset to raise voices, untie bodies and bring spirits together. Her debut album, Latiendo la tierra, conceived by an all-female team, was released on 27 August 2021. It has since garnered nominations at the ADISQ, Gamiq and Latin Awards Canada. The show has also won several awards at MUZ, Vue sur la rélève and ROSEQ. Finally, Noé was named Révélation Radio-Canada 2022-2023 in June 2022.
