    CINÉ JONCTION presents:

In the presence of filmmaker Raymond St-Jean

    NERVURES by Raymond St-Jean

    Canada (Quebec). 2025. 95 min. (13+)

Starring Marie-Thérèse Fortin, Romane Denis, Sylvain Marcel.

When she learns that her father is ill, Isabelle decides to drive to Saint-Étienne, several hours from Montreal, to visit him. Accompanied by her partner Madeleine, the young woman is shocked upon arrival when her mother Thérèse tells her that her father passed away a few days earlier. The troubling circumstances surrounding his death and her mother’s erratic behavior lead Isabelle to suspect that something is amiss in this isolated, economically depressed former logging town.

« Dès les premières minutes, St-Jean installe une ambiance d’étrangeté et un climat d’angoisse oppressant qui nous habite jusqu’à la fin du film. » (Maxime Demers, Le Journal de Montréal)
