Dramatist, because Martin Perizzolo's life is a drama, and every time he tells bits of it to his friends, they all have the same response: “That's really funny, put that in your show!”

“Comedy is tragedy plus time.” The idea that humor is the result of tragedy and time has been around for a long time. And that's exactly where Perizzolo gets his funny: from life's little dramas and existence's big drama.

In this show, the unconscious theme is limits: those we impose on ourselves, those our loved ones flout, those we wouldn't dare cross, those the comedian tries to define, on stage, by tackling mature subjects through intelligent and surprising comic angles.

This man of almost fifty finished his adolescence. This unabashed stand-up has completed his ten thousand hours of flying. And Dramatist is the kind of comedian he is.

* Show presented at École polyvalente Nicolas-Gatineau, 360, boulevard La Vérendrye Est, Gatineau, QC, J8P 6K7.

“Martin Perizzolo is nobody's favorite comedian - his own words - but there are no two like him. His third show, Le dramatiste, is the mature work of an artist who, at 49, has finally found his singularity” - Dominic Tardif, La Presse

“I feel like he's really reached the zone where he's at his best.” - Annie-Soleil Proteau, TVA - Salut Bonjour

“Le terrible eighty, ça c'est vraiment drôle... It's good entertainment” - Isabelle Perron, 99.5

“...a show that's well done, the proposition is clear and coherent” - Philippe Papineau, Ici Première - Culture Club

“Finding something to laugh about in what makes so many cry, he restores a sense of nobility to humor that we would dare to call existential.” - Christian Saint-Pierre, Le Devoir
