Les noces de Marie
1920. Tomorrow, Marie is getting married. But tonight, she dreams of the past, of a storm, and of her
unexpected encounter with Charlie. Full of innocence, our two young lovebirds discover the charms of first love. But it is 1914, and the world is plunging into a brutal war. Together, they try to preserve their passion in a place and time far removed from the uncertainty of war.
First presented at the Théâtre de l’Île in 2005, Les noces de Marie is a Canadian play that was particularly well-received by audiences. We encounter two strong characters in an epic and unforgettable play about love, hope, and survival.
