Despite its title, which evokes innocence and naivety, Crocodile distrait offers humour that is incisive, slobbering, corrosive, sometimes cynical, but always thoughtful. In this, his 5th solo show, Laurent Paquin says he doesn't have "easy happiness". But that doesn't stop him from reflecting on the question of happiness. Who is happy? Why are we happy? How happy? And for how long? His previous show, Déplaire, marked a turning point in the comedian's career, with its cruder, more direct humour. With Crocodile distrait, Laurent confirms his desire to scratch more, to bite, to provoke... but with a smile that makes us want to forgive him in advance.

"His sense of timing, his flow, his calm assurance and his ability to improvise around his favourite themes make Laurent Paquin a solid comedian." - La Presse

"...A cynicism as sharp as a crocodile's teeth... Laurent Paquin gave his audience no chance to catch their breath." - Journal de Montréal

"I laughed from beginning to end. And in my case, in a comedy show, I smile more than I laugh..." Journal de Montréal - 98.5 FM
