On Christmas Eve, Clara eagerly awaits her uncle Drosselmeyer—musician, magician, and systems analyst—who, instead of the colorful ballet slippers she so desperately wants, gives her a programmable-deprogrammable-adjustable-unadjustable nutcracker robot that can’t even dance without crushing her toes. The classic Christmas Clara had imagined then takes a completely jazzy turn, where the beat shifts, the music swings, and everyone dances off-beat!
