Overcycling Workshop and Quebec Sign Language Awareness Course

Come and have fun communicating in sign language, while learning how to reuse everyday objects in this Overcycling Workshop inspired by Gatineau's Cultural Trail!

Overcycling workshop with Ginnie Petit,

"One man's trash is another man's treasure" by Bordalo II

"La dispute" by Mélanie Mayers and Marc A. Reinhart

"Se raconter des histoires" by Patrick Nicastro

Inspired by works on the Gatineau Cultural Trail, this workshop explores the Renaissance through the overcycling of consumer objects. Participants will create a unique work with recycled materials, using a variety of objects and scraps (plastic, buttons, corks, fabric, etc.), bearing a message, an anecdote or an experience told on a piece of wood. The focus is on objects of discord, lack of communication and language deprivation, while remaining open and attentive to others.

Each participant uses materials to transform a stick into a unique work, demonstrating how waste can be reused to create something meaningful.

Take part in this creative and collaborative workshop where each work tells a story, valuing collaboration and mutual listening.
