A Garden Tale
For Young Audiences Storytelling and Puppetry
In the early morning, a snail chews on one last leaf before retreating into its shell. Beside it, a rose basks in the sun, enjoying the cool morning air. The garden and its inhabitants come joyfully to life. Suddenly, a raging wind picks up, and menacing shadows crash across the sky. The storm passes, the garden recovers, but something strange has clung to the thorns of the rosebush.
With humor and tenderness, we are drawn into the heart of a garden, into the tiny world of insects and flowers where everyone has a role to play. Two storytelling elves bring this hanging garden to life.
Loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s philosophical tale “The Snail and the Rosebush” and his “Garden Tales,” the show invites reflection on our relationship with nature and community.
