Espace DEP Sylvestre (formerly Dépanneur Sylvestre) has risen from the ashes after a three-year closure following a fire and the pandemic. We've already been serving the community for 20 years, and we hope to continue to do so for a long time to come.

20 years of Dépanneur Sylvestre at a local level means more than 10,000 free suppers and brunches served at communal tables where people from all walks of life rub shoulders, more than a thousand evening shows, conferences, themed meetings, film screenings, various workshops, celebrations and other social and cultural events, all with free admission, as well as a number of activities focusing on healthy eating, a small second-hand shop for a few years, various forms of assistance and small repairs, ... and all this without any operating subsidy.

MISSION

To cultivate a place of exchange and civic participation aimed at breaking down isolation and building community life. This mission was voted on at the Annual General Meeting in 2021, and has been in effect since we reopened this year. Thanks to our loyal and committed volunteers, as well as our dedicated coordinator, we take great pleasure in living up to it on a daily basis, in all our activities and projects.
