Monarque invites you on a hilarious and moving adventure with TOC TOC. This internationally acclaimed play features six fascinating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) patients in a famous doctor's waiting room. We meet colorful characters suffering from Tourette's Syndrome (motor and sound tics), arithmomania (obsession with numbers), nosophobia (fear of disease), verification OCD, palilalia (incessant repetition) and order and symmetry OCD.
Director Pierre-François Legendre explains: “As the psychiatrist is running late, our six patients, who all thought they had an appointment with him, find themselves improvising a group therapy session. Their OCD collides in interactions that are as funny as they are touching, revealing vulnerable yet courageous human beings. Between bursts of laughter, unexpected mutual aid, explosive tensions and touching reconciliations, this encounter will turn their lives upside down and lead them to understand, support and, ultimately, appreciate each other”.
