Galerie Old Chelsea is pleased to feature Chelsea artist Dave Fisher whose works include beautiful landscapes of Gatineau Park and other well-loved places, animals and some of his more abstract and colourful moments in imagined places.

The artist captures the essence of nature, infusing each canvas with a sense of serenity and wonder. From the gentle play of sunlight on pine trees to the shimmering reflections on still waters, every piece evokes a deep sense of peace and harmony. His love of animals also shows up on many of his canvasses. This show includes some of these, including a pair of loving goats engaged in a seemingly heartfelt conversation. Through his skillful rendering, these creatures come to life on the canvas. Their expressions and gestures hint at a world of communication and connection beyond our understanding.

Fisher has been painting full time for some 30 years and originally focused on photorealism, and primarily on landscapes. However, over the years, he moved steadily away from realism. As Fisher told us "The older I got, the more I wanted to let my imagination get the better of me”.

Dave Fisher’s work can be found in many private, corporate and institutional collections across Canada and the United States. His artworks have been acquired by major companies such as Panasonic and Sony, as well as several international hotels, and one could find his art on display at the Prince Edward Island Confederation Arts Centre for many years.
