Marie-Claude is a mother, sister, daughter, friend, colleague, aunt and niece. She has always considered herself a normal person, in the dictionary sense: conforming to an average considered a norm. Not exceptional. Who conforms to the most usual. Not surprising in any way. Normality takes on a whole new meaning the day his sister tells him that "Daddy dresses like a woman". From that moment on, by force of circumstance, she will also have to learn to become a "trans girl". Because over the years, her Normand daddy will become "her daddy" Sophia. Fille de trans is Marie-Claude's story. In a touching and at times deeply moving account, she takes us through each stage of her tumultuous journey towards becoming "her daddy". Fille de trans is intended as a bridge between the transgender community and society at large. Between these two groups, who struggle to talk to each other because they struggle to understand each other, there are people like Marie-Claude: those who have lived through the transition of someone close to them. Fille de trans is an autobiographical play in which Marie-Claude, surrounded by 2 actors and a musician, gives us privileged and intimate access to a slice of her life.
