A musical evening spanning two centuries of French music, from solo harpsichord to piano and voice, in a musical narrative whose ultimate goal remains to move the listener. The legacy of French Baroque is palpable in the continuity of the 19th century, whether in the works of Brahms, Chopin, Saint-Saëns, or Debussy. We know, for example, that Chopin began his day with Bach’s Preludes and Fugues, that Saint-Saëns edited Rameau’s works, and that Brahms edited those of Couperin. Let us mention, among others, all the works paying homage to Baroque composers, such as *Tombeau de Couperin* (Ravel) or *Hommage à Rameau* (Debussy)!

We will hear harpsichord works by Couperin, D’Aquin, D’Agincourt, and Rameau, then we’ll dive into the Romantic era with works for soprano accompanied by piano by Pauline Viardot, Gounod, and Fauré. We’ll have the pleasure of welcoming two renowned artists, Luc Beauséjour on harpsichord and piano, and Julie Boulianne, soprano.
