Founded in 2006, Ensemble Prisme has become a leading chamber music ensemble in the Gatineau–Ottawa region. Comprised of a core group of seven professional musicians, with guest artists joining as needed, the ensemble performs a rich and diverse repertoire spanning from the Baroque period to contemporary works. Its members are also recognized for their artistic leadership and educational contributions through their work with major orchestras and music institutions in the National Capital Region.

Produced by the Société de musique de chambre de Gatineau (SMCG), Ensemble Prisme presents an annual series of eight concerts while also performing at festivals, benefit concerts, and special collaborative events. Committed to fostering classical music and supporting emerging composers, the ensemble has premiered numerous new works and released its first recording in 2021, featuring Mozart's Gran Partita in a chamber ensemble arrangement. Most concerts take place at Salle Jean-Despréz and at Notre-Dame-de-La-Guadeloupe Church in Gatineau.
