In 2015, the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) created a university gallery as a result of the museology and arts practices master's programme at the École multidisciplinaire de l'image (which became the École des arts et cultures in 2024). Named the Galerie UQO and located in the Lucien-Brault pavilion in downtown Gatineau, this contemporary arts research and presentation centre stands out for its academic commitment to UQO, the rigour of its artistic programming and its involvement in the local, national and international context.

Mission

Galerie UQO is a university gallery committed to developing and showcasing contemporary art and museum practices in Quebec, Canada and abroad through research, creation, education and dissemination.
