The mandate of Arts visuels de Gatineau (AVG) is to develop arts and culture in the Gatineau community.
To fulfill its mandate, AVG commits itself to purely artistic ends and without intention of pecuniary gain for its members to:
- Promote visual arts and culture in the community of Gatineau, Quebec.
- Organize cultural events such as quality exhibitions to showcase the original works of its members.
- Foster artistic development and art appreciation among people of all ages.
- Participate actively in the development of the visual arts in the region.
- To provide an environment in which to showcase the talents of its artist members.
- Offer art workshops, courses and training to the community.
- Foster partnerships with other arts and cultural organizations in the region.
