Outaouais Regional Museum
The Outaouais region, occupied for thousands of years, is the cornerstone of the Musée régional de l'Outaouais (MRO). It collects, preserves, studies, interprets and promotes the heritage of this region for the benefit of all, in a spirit of shared understanding and pride.
As the network leader for organisations promoting the Outaouais' regional heritage, the MRO acts in concert with them to preserve the tangible and intangible evidence of our heritage for future generations.
Through its research, dissemination and educational activities, the MRO is a gateway to the region and an invitation to discover it.
The MRO is a meeting place and a forum for dialogue, so that the people of the Outaouais can take ownership of their rich history and develop a sense of belonging.
