Workshop-meeting with Amylie
An encounter with musician-composer-performer Amylie, who invites us into her creative world so that we, in turn, can grasp how to coax our inner desires and make them sing. According to the artist, everyone has an “inner melody.” All we have to do is pluck the strings
until we discover the seas that carry us and explore them musically.
The workshop is divided into three segments: first, connecting the voice to the body; second, exploring the relationship between words and melody; and finally, experiencing the coherence of group singing. Each segment combines a brief theoretical introduction with a very concrete creative activity. We explore prosody, vocal intention, intuitive writing, and melodic invention. The exercises are
simple and fun: movement games, improvisation on texts, exploration of how to speak and sing, guided writing, and then collective creation. The goal is for each participant to leave with a vivid experience of their voice, a better understanding of their artistic intention, and
some tools to continue creating.
