A crow, carried by the breeze, flies over the mountains, the valley and

and finally the river. It guides you to the little house with green shutters at the end of the Petite-Rivière road. There, you'll find Gabrielle, with her bright eyes, observing all the life in this part of the country: the little hay dancing in the wind; the flowers abounding on a pile of manure; the white and black birds along the flats calling out at low tide; the fireflies whispering at dusk.

Freely inspired by Gabrielle Roy's book of the same name, Cet été qui chantait is a show full of images, music and sweetness. Marie-Ève Fontaine and her team recreate the deeply poetic universe of the Franco-Manitoban author in a theater of images, inviting you to take a sensory journey designed for all audiences, especially the young and the elderly.

This show is supported by Circuit Paroles Vivantes, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and the Government of Ontario.
