Résidence Sans feu ni lieu
For a month, poet and novelist Mattia Scarpulla will be roaming Old Hull in the footsteps of the E.B. Eddy workers who made Hull history, on the 100th anniversary of the historic Allumettières labor dispute. A complete stranger to this part of Outaouais history, and a resident passing through the region, Mattia's reveries of the past will be nourished by guided tours, lectures, access to historic sites and old photographs, in order to reactivate the memory that lies dormant beneath the surface. This residency is punctuated by a talk on the history of Allumettières and a writing workshop inspired by history, and concludes with a performance/reading by Mattia Scarpulla and historian Kathleen Durocher on the Sentier culturel.
Locations: in the streets of Old Hull
This activity is presented by the Maison des arts littéraires de Gatineau.
