Combining the raw power of Sludge, the psychedelic heaviness of Doom, the splintered structures of progressive metal with a more melodic approach inherited from Stoner Rock, Subsun is a quartet from Gatineau, Quebec. The band, made up of André Bélanger (guitar), Jérémy Blais (drums), Simon Chartrand-Paquette (bass, vocals) and Jean-Michel Fortin (guitar, vocals), quickly made a name for themselves in the Quebec underground for their fuzz-saturated musical universe, punctuated by abrupt transitions and alternating between dark, anxiety-inducing atmospheres and fast, abrasive passages. But it's above all for their intense, energetic performances that Subsun make their mark among fans of bold tones and thunderous drums.
