The instructor will introduce watercolor techniques to the main group (beginners) while assisting advanced participants with their personal projects. This course allows participants to practice painting people, places, and objects using a variety of more advanced techniques. It will also offer

participants the opportunity to explore the interpretation of their own images using these techniques. An extended color palette will also be offered, along with additional instructions on brushes and papers.


Level: This course is intended for beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants.

Maximum of 10 participants.

Materials: Each participant must have the following: Paper, paper towels or a cotton cloth. Water container, 2H graphite pencil, eraser, and ruler. Hair dryer (optional).


About the instructor: Linda Girard is an art educator, watercolorist, and artisan who has taught people from ages 8 to 80. She uses an impressionist style with a strong

emphasis on texture and minimalist brushwork. She favors small sketches to develop watercolor skills and increase ease with the medium.
