The audience is invited to enter the warm, dreamlike world of Quebec composer Claude Vivier, guided by Marie-Annick Béliveau's vocals, Léo Guiollot's percussive playing and Louis-Philippe Bonin's saxophone melodies.
The first tableau introduces the children to Emma, snoozing in her bed of cushions. When she wakes up, she uses the power of her imagination to transform objects, shapes and sounds. What if cushions could become funny, touching characters? What if our senses could deceive us? What if shadows became music, melodies turned into colored lights?
KOPERKUS offers an innovative show that places the pleasure of the senses at the heart of its approach. Children are invited into the world of Emma and her friends, to move through it at their own pace, and discover music to their heart's content!
