Joe Bocan

Insoumise
With Insoumise, Joe Bocan makes a grand return to the solo stage. In the making of this show, which also marks her 40th anniversary, she has surrounded herself with creators of the new generation, allowing her to explore all the facets of her excessiveness. Joe Bocan has never been afraid to be authentic, and at 66 she's not afraid to be bold, sexy and provocative.
A committed artist true to herself, Joe Bocan revisits her repertoire, offering her greatest hits in a new setting, as she did so well with Apocalypso and Les femmes voilées in the show Pour une histoire d'un soir. She also presents new songs from her album, due for release in autumn 2024, in which she tackles current themes as seen through her own eyes.
We're also in for some surprises, with her interpretations of well-known songs that seem to have been written just for her, so much do they stick to her. In this show, Joe also embodies other women, other stories, other lives. And to give them a voice, she lets us enter their world through a short monologue, a character or a song.
Insoumise is a theatrical show, in the image of Joe Bocan. It bears the signature of a profoundly modern artist, an inspired and independent woman who defies the forbidden with passion.
Seeing Joe Bocan live is an experience in itself! Here's a pop diva who's not afraid of madness, exuberance and irreverence.
