Guylaine Tremblay plays Janette Bertrand in this exciting, lively theatrical fresco, written by one of the most prolific and talented writers of her generation, Rébecca Déraspe, with the collaboration of Janette Bertrand herself.

Janette highlights the invaluable legacy of this pioneer and provides a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to her while reconnecting with our collective history.

“Dear Madame Bertrand, I'm 40. You are 99. I feel like I know you, because I grew up with you. As a child, the TV set would reflect back to me the voices of those you gave a voice to. My mother sincerely admired you. You inspired her on her journey, you guided her in her independence, and she passed on to me a hundredfold everything you taught her. Thanks to your work, I've grown up in a society where I can write, say and do; a society where being a woman no longer predestines me to follow a narrow, predetermined path. My mother, my daughter and I owe you so much.” - Rébecca Déraspe
