Chantal Leclerc Exhibition: Joie de Vivre

Born in Abitibi, Chantal Leclerc is a self-taught painter whose lifelong interest in the arts has taken many forms. After exploring a wide range of creative practices, a trip to Australia in 2013 marked a turning point in her artistic journey, inspiring her to paint and deeply influencing her visual language through the colour, symbolism, and pointillist techniques of Australian Aboriginal art.

Over time, Leclerc developed a contemporary, naïve style characterized by vibrant dots that bring light and movement to her work. Now based in the Outaouais region, she creates highly personal paintings inspired by the stories, passions, and dreams of her clients, balancing expressive colour with moments of refined minimalism in her smaller, monochromatic works.
